Jogo do Rato
Marketing Design
The Company
The company provided services directed to children, from IT classes to study support and extracurricular activities after school.
This was one of my Summer jobs during my Bachelor, where I got to liaise with the client and the children to understand how to appeal to them visually. Most of my responsibilities involved refreshing the company logo, business card, and letters, as well as creating informative posters and creating drawings for the children’s activities.
The Process
Scoping
Understanding the original image of the client was an important step before bringing a new vision to life that would better fit their needs.
New Ideas
Once I gathered and analysed the information provided from the initial briefing, it was time to sketch out some ideas and get the creativity flowing
Timeline
We had only 3 months so time management was essential, and after mapping out all the assets needed it was time to plan the timeline of products completion
Re-Imagine
The company already had a logo, but they wanted to re-vamp their business card and letter design. My first step was to analyse their current logo and make some colour studies to better understand the clients visual preference.
Business Card
With a better understanding of which elements the client wanted to keep, the next step was to do some mock-ups of their business card.
The Mascot
The business had started for an adult audience, slowly adapting to the more usual and rising younger public. Due to the main clients drastic change on the age range the company now had marketing products that were not appropriate, and with that in mind I decided to create a mascot.
Multiple Media
To finalize the revamping of their professional image I applied the new theme to the letter body and envelope, as well creating wallpaper for all the company’s computers used for training and classes.
Marketing Posters & Pamphlets
Throughout the work process previously discussed, I was in charge of creating multiple pamphlets and posters for children’s activities during the vacations and summer school. Although this was the most fun part to create, I had certain guidelines I still had to follow and could not stray from to keep the visual baseline for education services.
Extra Project
As an extra proposal to my employer, I requested to make some simple drawings for the kids to colour during waiting times, seeing that they usually would get restless while waiting for their parents or teachers.
